What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things like your basket contents, whether you are logged in, and your preferences. We also use related browser storage technologies (localStorage) for the same purposes. In this policy, "cookies" refers to both.

Essential cookies we use

These are required for the site to function. They cannot be turned off because the site will not work properly without them.

  • Cart and basket persistence. Stored in your browser's localStorage so your basket survives page refreshes and return visits.
  • Authentication tokens. Set by Supabase when you log in to your account, so you stay signed in across pages and sessions.
  • Cookie consent state. We store your choice in localStorage under the key ukpl-cookie-consent-v1 so we do not ask you on every page load.

Analytics cookies

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Plausible is cookieless and privacy-respecting, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data, so it runs without consent under PECR. If we add Google Analytics 4 in future, it will only initialise after you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner.

Third-party services

Some services we rely on may set their own essential cookies when you interact with them. None of these set tracking cookies on the UK Peptide Lab site.

  • Fena Pay. Payment processor. You are redirected to Fena to complete payment. Any cookies set belong to Fena's domain, not ours.
  • Supabase. Backend and authentication. Sets essential session tokens when you sign in.
  • Resend. Email delivery for order confirmations and account emails. Does not set cookies on this site.

Your choices

You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for ukpeptidelab.co.uk, which will trigger the consent banner to reappear on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may break basket persistence and the login flow.
