IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3) is an 83 amino acid analogue of recombinant human insulin-like growth factor 1, modified with an N-terminal extension and an arginine-for-glutamic-acid substitution at position 3. The modifications reduce binding to IGF binding proteins, extending its biological half-life relative to native IGF-1.
