What is CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin?
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin 5+5mg is one vial holding 5mg of CJC-1295 without DAC and 5mg of ipamorelin, lyophilised together. Also written CJC1295/ipamorelin, it pairs a GHRH analogue with a selective ghrelin-receptor agonist.
Full description
CJC-1295 without DAC, or modified GRF (1-29), is a 29 amino acid GHRH analogue with four substitutions: D-Ala2, Gln8, Ala15 and Leu27. It acts at the GHRH receptor. Ipamorelin is the pentapeptide Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH₂, a selective agonist at the ghrelin receptor, GHS-R1a. Both receptors sit on the pituitary somatotroph.
Equal mass is not equal moles. At 3367.9 and 711.85 g/mol, the vial holds about 1.5 µmol of CJC-1295 and 7.0 µmol of ipamorelin, roughly 1 to 4.7.
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin Research Applications
Typical preclinical uses are dual-receptor somatotroph stimulation and pulsatile GH release studies with both inputs applied together. The fixed ratio removes one source of preparation error across a replicate series.
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin vs the Components Alone
The blend gives both peptides from one vial, one reconstitution and one certificate, at a fixed 1:1 mass ratio. That suits designs that apply both inputs together. The ratio cannot change once the powder is dissolved. A single-agent control arm, independent concentrations or attribution to one receptor need the separate CJC-1295 and ipamorelin vials. No controlled study of this specific blend has been published, so the evidence comes from each peptide's own literature.
Research Overview
The blend has no literature of its own, so each component's papers are the reference points. On the CJC-1295 side, plasma dipeptidyl peptidase IV inactivates native GHRH by cutting the 2-3 bond. A D-amino acid at position 2 blocks that cut (Frohman et al., J Clin Invest, 1989). Teichman and colleagues (2006) ran their human CJC-1295 study on the albumin-binding DAC form, which this vial does not contain.
On the ipamorelin side, Raun and colleagues (Eur J Endocrinol, 1998) found it released GH from rat pituitary cells with an EC50 of 1.3 nmol/l, close to GHRP-6. It came from a Novo Nordisk series of compounds lacking the central Ala-Trp dipeptide of GHRP-1. Neither peptide holds a marketing authorisation.

Storage and Reconstitution
Store the sealed vial at -20°C, away from light and moisture, for up to 24 months. After reconstitution, keep the solution at 2-8°C and use it within 4 weeks, or freeze single-use aliquots at -20°C. Both peptides share one reconstitution date, so aliquot at the start.
Vials are sold on their own, without bacteriostatic water for mixing or other supplies.
How to reconstitute and handle
Treat the vial as one 10mg preparation, with the fill volume set by the concentration your design needs. Let the vial and the bacteriostatic water reach room temperature and swab both stoppers with alcohol. Add the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently until dissolved. Do not shake or vortex. The solution should be clear and colourless.
- Report concentrations per component in molar units as well as mg/ml. The mass ratio is 1:1, the molar ratio about 1 to 4.7.

Why are CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin studied together?
They act at different receptors on the same pituitary cell: CJC-1295 at the GHRH receptor, ipamorelin at GHS-R1a. In normal men, a GH-releasing peptide plus GHRH released more GH than the sum of each alone (Bowers et al., 1990). The authors took this to mean the two pathways act independently.
What is the difference between CJC-1295 with and without DAC?
The DAC form carries a lysine with a maleimide group that binds serum albumin. That gave it a half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days in healthy adults (Teichman et al., 2006). The CJC-1295 in this blend has no DAC. CJC-1295 DAC is sold separately.
Is Ipamorelin selective?
Yes. In swine, ipamorelin raised ACTH and cortisol no more than GHRH did, even at over 200 times its GH ED50. GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 raised both, and none of them changed FSH, LH, prolactin or TSH (Raun et al., 1998).
